Jump Festa is one of Japan’s largest annual anime and manga events. First held in 1999, it has grown into a major showcase for Shonen Jump series, anime announcements, and fan activities. Jump Festa 2026 took place on December 20–21, 2025, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, with packed stages, nonstop reveals, and a steady stream of fan-focused content. With so much happening across the show floor, here are some of the major anime updates from Jump Festa 2026!
My Hero Academia
My Hero Academia used Jump Festa 2026 to officially kick off plans for its upcoming anime 10th anniversary, which begins on April 3, 2026, marking a decade since the series first aired. Anniversary projects will roll out throughout the year, starting with More, a special episode adapting Chapter 431 of the original manga series. The episode explores the lives of the characters eight years after graduating from U.A. and will premiere worldwide on May 2, 2026, on Crunchyroll.
Another major announcement was My Hero Academia in Concert, a global tour pairing the anime’s music with on-screen moments from the series. The tour launches on May 30, 2026, in Yokohama, with additional international dates to be announced soon.
Meanwhile, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes continues to expand the franchise’s anime presence, with Season Two having begun airing on January 5, 2026.
JUJUTSU KAISEN
JUJUTSU KAISEN shared substantial new details about Season 3 at Jump Festa, including a new trailer and updated visuals tied to the start of the Culling Game arc. The new season is set to premiere on January 8, 2026, with the first two episodes airing back-to-back.
The new trailer also confirmed the opening theme AIZO, performed by King Gnu, and introduced six new cast members joining the series. Returning staff were reaffirmed as well, with Shota Goshozono continuing as director at MAPPA, alongside much of the creative team from Season 2.
Kaiju No. 8
Kaiju No. 8 revealed a major shift for the anime, confirming that its Final Chapter is now in production. Alongside the announcement, a new visual and announcement video were released, signaling that the series is now entering its concluding phase.
While no release window, format, or staff details for the Final Chapter were disclosed, the update was paired with news of a new original short anime titled Narumi’s Week at Work. Further information on both projects will be shared at a later date.
Dr. STONE
Dr. STONE: SCIENCE FUTURE revealed its next step forward at Jump Festa with the debut of a new teaser trailer for Cour 3, confirming an April 2026 premiere. A new character visual for Sai was also unveiled.
Returning staff were reaffirmed, with Shuhei Matsushita continuing as director at TMS Entertainment alongside the core creative team, as the next cour of Dr. STONE: SCIENCE FUTURE moves into production.
BEASTARS
BEASTARS confirmed at Jump Festa that Final Season Part 2 will arrive on Netflix in March 2026, bringing the anime’s story to its conclusion.
The final chapters pick up after Legoshi’s confrontation with Riz, as he leaves school to live on his own at Beast Apartments. Louis, having stepped away from the Young BEASTARS, turns his attention toward confronting his father Ogma, while Haru navigates a growing series of personal challenges. At the same time, the current BEASTAR Yahya closes in on Melon, a dangerous criminal whose path becomes unexpectedly entangled with Legoshi’s family secrets.
A new visual and an official trailer for Final Season Part 2 have been released, offering a first look at how the series will close out its long-running character arcs.
Blue Box
Blue Box confirmed that Season 2 is officially on the way, with a Fall 2026 premiere window announced at Jump Festa. A new teaser visual accompanied the update.
Based on Kouji Miura’s manga, the sports romance series was previously renewed following the conclusion of its first season in March 2025. No additional story or production details were shared, with more information expected closer to release.
Haikyu!!
Haikyu!! confirmed its next theatrical chapter at Jump Festa with Haikyu!! vs. Chiisana Kyojin (“The Little Giant”), which is set to premiere in 2027. A teaser trailer and new visual were released alongside the announcement, and Susumu Mitsunaka is returning to direct at Production I.G.
The update also included confirmation of a new special episode, Haikyu!! Bakemonotachi no Iku Tokoro (“The Place Where Monsters Go”), scheduled to debut the same year. The film continues the story following Karasuno’s match against Nekoma, while the special focuses on a separate showdown between Fukurodani Academy and Mujinazaka High School.
