August 19 marks Haikyu!! Day with new visuals and a video highlighting the hit volleyball series and its upcoming 2027 projects. The latest reveals include a commemorative illustration featuring dozens of team mascots, a teaser for the special anime HAIKYU!!: Where Monsters Go, and concept art for the theatrical film HAIKYU!!: VS The Little Giant.
Created by Haruichi Furudate, Haikyu!! began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2012 and ran for eight and a half years. The collected manga has surpassed 75 million copies in circulation, while its story of high school students pursuing their ambitions through volleyball has grown into one of the defining sports series of its generation.

A 55-Mascot Haikyu!! Day Visual
A special Haikyu!! Day visual gathers 55 mascots from across the series, including 24 newly created designs. The large ensemble illustration serves as the centerpiece of the August 19 celebration and brings together symbols representing teams from throughout the story.
Bokuto and Kiryu Face Off in Where Monsters Go
A new teaser visual and trailer for the special anime HAIKYU!!: Where Monsters Go place Kotaro Bokuto and Wakatsu Kiryu opposite one another as they prepare to represent their respective schools. Watch the new trailer below!
The story centers on Fukurodani Academy High School vs. Mujinazaka High School, bringing two of the nation’s leading aces into direct competition. Bokuto leads Fukurodani into the quarterfinal while powerhouse Mujinazaka enters with Kiryu at its center.
This special anime is scheduled to air in 2027.
Hinata and Hoshiumi Meet in HAIKYU!!: VS The Little Giant
A concept visual for HAIKYU!!: VS The Little Giant focuses on Shoyo Hinata and Korai Hoshiumi, setting the stage for the long-awaited “Little Giant” showdown between the two spikers.
This upcoming film follows HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle, which opened in 2024 and brought the rivalry between Karasuno High School and Nekoma High School to theaters.
VS The Little Giant shifts the tournament to Karasuno High School vs. Kamomedai High School, placing Hinata and Hoshiumi at the center of another decisive Spring High quarterfinal. The sequel is set for release in 2027, alongside Where Monsters Go, giving the tournament’s two major matches their own screen adaptations.
