It’s official! SNOWBALL EARTH is getting an anime adaptation. This epic Sci Fi × Kaiju × Robot story is set to hit globally in 2026, and a new key visual has just dropped. Animation for the new series will be handled by Studio KAI.
Alongside the announcement, a newly revealed teaser visual for the SNOWBALL EARTH anime has been released. The illustration, drawn by character designer Toshiya Kono, features a close up of protagonist Tetsuo Yabusame’s eye. Reflected within the pupil is a vast land covered in snow and ice, the frozen world of SNOWBALL EARTH. Buildings buried deep beneath the snow and the silhouette of a looming kaiju hint at the story that lies ahead for Tetsuo, setting the tone for the adventure to come.
A preview video has also been made available, offering another look at the chilling world viewers can expect in the upcoming adaptation.
